A twisting and turning tornado of Aragonite (calcite) crystals from Santa Eulalia area of Mexico. Or is it a crystal dragon? Either way, it's beautiful! Both calcite and aragonite have the same chemistry (CaCO3), however the crystal lattice of aragonite differs from that of calcite, resulting in a different crystal shape, an orthorhombic crystal system with acicular crystal. Repeated twinning results in pseudo-hexagonal forms and some pretty wild forms.
Approx: 4" H x 3.5" W x 4" L
