This stunning geode has vibrant purple amethyst crystals, accented by beautiful blue-gray bands of agate/chalcedony. This purple variety of quartz (Amethyst) forms within volcanic deposits, specifically within air pockets of basalt. As hot silica-rich solutions flow through these empty spaces, the solution begins to cool and crystallize, forming incredible crystalline geodes!
