Pyrite

Sharp octahedral points abound on this incredible specimen from the Huanzala Mine, in Bolognesi Province, Ancash, Peru. Pyrite is an iron sulfide mineral that has an isometric crystal structure. This means Pyrite can form into shapes like cubes or octahedrons. This specimen is packed with shiny brass and gold striated crystal octahedrons of various sizes. 

Approx. 3.25" L x 2.5" W x 2" Deep
