Golden Calcite Geode Heart

This beautiful geode heart is formed from the concentration of golden calcite and brown aragonite in a gray limestone matrix. The more angular cracks and cavity separations are called "septaria" giving the geode its unique name Septarian Concretion. This specimen was collected in southern Utah. The front and sides of this piece have been cut and polished into a heart shape with a high gloss finish. Golden yellow calcite crystals in the center of the geode make a strikingly beautiful contrast to the gray matrix rock.

Approx. 4" L x 4" W x 2.5" H

Need a display stand?
