Pyrite

Large and lustrous Pyrite crystals shine across this specimen from the Huanzala Mine, in Bolognesi Province, Ancash, Peru. Pyrite is an iron sulfide mineral that has an isometric crystal structure. This means Pyrite can form into shapes like cubes, octahedrons, or in this case, a pyritohedron crystal structure, which is similar to a dodecahedron with pyritohedral symmetry.

Approx. 4" H x 2" W x 1.75" Deep
