This absolutely magical piece of shell comes from an Ammonite fossil that is approximately 70 million years old. This piece displays the most rare of all Ammolite colors, teals and blue. The gem quality of the iridescent ammonite shell has earned its own classification as Ammolite. This incredible natural occurrence is a a result of mineralization during the fossilization process. Found in Alberta, Canada, this exceptional piece has been lightly polished and displays beautifully as is. The back is flat with smooth sides that could also be used in jewelry making.
