Angel wing, flower petals, call them what you will. This lovely specimen of white bladed calcite crystals from Mexico has a vibrant chalcopyrite friend along for the geologic ride. Chalcopyrite is similar to pyrite in that they are both iron-based minerals. The difference between the two is that chalcopyrite has copper in it as well, causing some pretty rainbow colorations to appear in the stone.
