It's a forest of teal green crystals on this copper-infused selenite specimen from South Australia. Selenite (gypsum) is typically neutral colored. These bad boys are extra special because a copper deposit nearby has caused this formation to form an incredible color! This is a rare occurrence as selenite is an evaporite mineral, forming only from the evaporation of mineral rich waters. Depending on the time of year, quantity of water, etc. these deposits may be completely buried, or not occur at all. Certainly the color on these is extra rare, as others I have come across are very pale green or colorless. These will knock your socks off in person!
WARNING: These are extremely fragile specimens! We will ensure they are packed well to avoid crystal-loss during shipment. However, it is possible a few crystals may fall off during transport so please handle them very carefully.
Approx. 2.75" L x 2" W x 1.25" H
