Extra Large Fossilized Coral Pair with Chalcedony and Drusy Quartz

Feel the awesome power of the ancient oceans in this unbelievable pair of Fossilized Coral from Florida. Soft clouds of lavender-blue Chalcedony crystals mix perfectly with the warm caramel tones of this incredible crystal and fossil combination. The impressive size and quality of this fossil pair is truly outstanding. Typically, with fossils from this locale, sections of the coral fracture or break away during the cutting and polishing process, making extra large pairs of this quality truly rare.

If the bubbly clouds of crystalline Chalcedony weren't enough, the opposite side of the coral pair has peek-a-boo caves glittering with Drusy Quartz crystals. Oh, and it fluoresces under UV light, adding yet another extra layer of glow!

Dated at approximately 20 to 40 million years old, this variety of coral lived during the Eocene to Miocene Period. Empty voids within the coral were naturally replaced with silica-rich mineralization in the form of botryoidal and stalactites of Chalcedony. Fossilized coral once a part of the ancient coastline of Florida is now discovered inland near the Withlacoochee River. The fossil was cut and polished down the center, with the exterior left in its raw and natural state to show off the natural growth structure of the coral.

Dimensions of Each Single Side: Approx. 8" H x 4" W x 3.5" Deep
