An absolute show stopper! This amazing extra large Septarian Concretion slice comes from southern Utah. Formed from the concentration of golden Calcite and brown Aragonite crystals in a limestone matrix, the more angular cracks and cavity separations are called "septaria". Concretions from this locality rarely reach this incredible size, making a true collectors piece. The interior of the concretion contains massive Calcite crystals that fluoresce when exposed to a UV flashlight.
The front of the piece has been cut and polished to a high gloss finish. The sides have been left in their natural state.
Approx. 9.5" H x 9.5" W x 1.5" D
