An absolutely stunning crystal display of purple Amethyst from South Africa. The extra large size of this specimen is a rarity for this locale. Crystalline spires of Amethyst abound across this piece, with the classic "cactus quartz" named variety of Amethyst crystals, describing the larger single points surrounded by a secondary growth of smaller amethyst crystals coating the sides. The soft lavender purple color is famous from this location in South Africa which is also sometimes referred to as "Spirit Quartz"
