Extra Large Stellar Beam Calcite

If you're looking for a mineral that is ready for takeoff, this calcite crystal looks like it's ready to blast into the atmosphere! Sometimes referred to as "Stellar Beam" Calcite, this variety of scalenohedral calcite comes from the Elmwood Mine in Smith County, Tennessee. Light colored dolomite crystals can also be found attached to this piece. This locality is famous for the bright color saturation of the calcite crystals with incredible terminations. Just be careful, this beauty might rocket your collection into the next galaxy!
