A crystalline castle of bright white and green! This wild formation is copper-infused selenite from South Australia. Selenite (gypsum) is typically neutral colored. This specimen is extra special because a copper deposit nearby has caused this formation to form an incredible electric green color! This is a rare occurrence as selenite is an evaporite mineral, forming only from the evaporation of mineral rich waters. Depending on the time of year, quantity of water, etc. these deposits may be completely buried, or not occur at all. The varying crystal color and shape is a result of these growth phases between saturation events.
WARNING: These specimens are quite fragile. We will ensure they are packed well to avoid crystal-loss during shipment. However, it is possible a few of the smaller crystals may fall off during transport, so please handle them very carefully.
Approx. 3" H x 3" W x 2" D
