This incredible copper and quartz specimen was found in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Copper found in this region is mined in its natural state as "native copper" or as "float" copper which was moved and tumbled by glacial activities thousands of years ago. Copper is one of the few elements on our periodic table that crystallizes in its native form. This bright and beautiful specimen has been cut and polished to create a gorgeous display piece. It has a flat-cut base which allows it to self-stand perfectly.
Approx. 5" H x 7.25" W x 1.25" Deep
*this specimen has a flat-cut base and is self-standing
