Fiery red-orange Calcite sits atop bands of interchanging colored Calcite and Aragonite on this gorgeous stone from Mexico. The change in color bands are a result of layered deposition in which different impurities resulted in varied coloration over time. This creates incredible swirls and patterns within the stone. The lighter colored bands even fluoresce under UV light!
This piece sits nicely in a horizontal orientation without a display stand. To display this specimen vertically, we recommend adding Stand B1 to your cart.
