Large Selenite Crystal on Selenite Nodule

An absolutely perfect terminated crystal of golden yellow selenite from the Red River Floodway in Manitoba, Canada. The large "duck-billed" selenite crystal is towering out of a solid rosette nodule base of smaller selenite crystals. This fabulous mineral assemblage forms from evaporation! Mineral-bearing water pools and settles into a low lying area. As the water evaporates, the minerals left behind begin to crystallize into the incredible specimen shown here.

Approx. 2.75" H x 1.5" W x 1.75" L
