Perfect crystal points of lavender Amethyst crystals are clustered together on this lovely specimen from Veracruz, Mexico. The Amethyst crystals are an incredible soft purple hue with excellent clarity and a glassy luster. Some beautiful crystal phantoms can be seen inside the larger crystals. This beautiful display piece has crystals of various sizes growing in many different directions. The crystals are formed and perched atop a sparkly druzy quartz base with vesicular andesite (volcanic rock).
