This incredible coral-like cross-section of Barite crystals comes from the Lubin Mining District in Poland. The cut and polished stone slice allows you to observe the beautiful growth structure of this cream and tan colored Barite crystal cluster.
Crystals from this locality are inter-grown stalactites / rosettes of bladed Barite and some have micro crystals of Pyrite on top. They also fluoresce under UV and phosphoresce creating a gorgeous green glow!
