Hi Everyone!

My name is Lori, I'm the Owner of Unearthed - A Stone for Every Home. After spending my entire adolescence collecting rocks as a hobby and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, I decided it was time to share my passion with others!

As a Geologist and life-long rockhound, I know how special crystals and fossils are. These aren't "just rocks" to me. I have spent many years researching, buying, and selling minerals and fossils, as well as digging them up myself! I know first hand just how mineral and fossil specimens are and how difficult they can be to find. 

The Earth naturally produces some truly incredible geologic treasures, and I am so excited to be able to share them with all of you!

We treat each specimen we sell with respect, and do our best to educate our customers about what they are buying and what makes it is so special.

I strive to provide a safe place for learning about rocks and fossils, and share my excitement for Geology with others! You shouldn't need an advanced degree to find something beautiful and affordable for your home collection. Introducing people to the incredible treasures the natural world has to offer, from the smallest crystal to the biggest fossil is my specialty.

You can often find me digging with my dog Indy (short for Indiana Jones since he is an adventure dog) as well as with family and friends. I have spent over 20 years uncovering stones from around the world. My passion for rocks has led me through North, South, and Central America, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. Armed with a Geology degree and a rock hammer by my side, I spend my free time hiking and rockhounding.
