A bold and bladed crystal specimen of vibrant green Malachite with a colorful cluster of teal green Dioptase crystals.
The striking character and crystal shape of this specimen represents an interesting geological phenomenon called a pseudomorph. While you might recognize the classic green color of the Malachite, the shape of the crystals on this specimen are unusual, as they display the tabular structure of either Azurite or possibly Anhydrite crystals!
If the large size and interesting shape weren't enough, a small cluster of deeply saturated Dioptase crystals is hiding on the reverse side.
This specimen comes from the Kolwezi Mutshatsha Lualaba region of Democratic Republic of Congo.
