Vanadinite - Arizona
Bright orange-yellow Vanadinite crystals adorn this specimen from the Old Yuma Mine in Pima County, Arizona. The crystals look like elongated geologic sprinkles, cris-crossing the front of the specimen.
But the lovely Vanadinite crystals aren't alone! Clear Calcite crystals can be seen across the specimen which comes pre-mounted on a 1.5" x 1.5" clear acrylic display stand.
This historic mining location was operational in the early to mid 1900's for a variety of metal minerals including Gold, Silver, Lead, Copper, Zinc and Molybdenum.
