Natural Citrine

Enjoy the soft light golden glow of this natural Citrine crystal from Minas Gerais, Brazil. While most Citrine specimens on the mineral market are heat-treated to enhance the color, or cut and polished to improve the quality of the crystal points, this specimen is all natural!

It features a stacked termination, a secondary coating of shining muscovite crystals on the back, and a small muscovite mica side-car. Citrine forms in volcanic deposits, and receives its yellow and gold pigmentation from concentrations of iron.
