Fossilized Coral Pair with Chalcedony and Drusy Quartz

Rich caramel tones mix with soft lavenders and gray-blue Chalcedony crystals throughout this incredible fossilized coral pair from Florida. Dated at approximately 20 to 40 million years old, this variety of coral lived during the Eocene to Miocene Period. Empty voids within the coral were naturally replaced with silica-rich mineralization in the form of sparkly Drusy Quartz crystals and Chalcedony. Fossilized coral once a part of the ancient coastline of Florida is now discovered inland near the Withlacoochee River. The fossil was cut and polished down the center, with the exterior left in its raw and natural state to show off the natural growth structure of the coral. For a special surprise, this piece also fluoresces under UV light!

Dimensions of Each Single Side: Approx. 5.25" H x 3" W x 1.5" Deep
