Clear bubbles of Hyalite Opal abound on this fun specimen from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. This unique variety of Opal, is an amorphous silica-glass that contains between 3 to 8% water. The sphere-like shape of the crystals gives the specimen a bubbling crystal ball appearance. When exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, the specimen glows an electric green color!
