A stunningly colorful Calcite crystal cluster coated with a sparkly layer of Chalcopyrite. This vibrant rainbow rock comes from the Dniester River region of Moldova. Found in a private open-pit granite mine, the Calcite vein the miners were chasing occasionally opens into gorgeous crystal pockets like the one seen here.
The brightly colored golden orange and red Calcite crystals have sharp terminations which are naturally coated in an incredible layer of Chalcopyrite. The glittery micro-crystalline Chalcopyrite has a rainbow array of colors including blues, greens and purples that have a fascinating shine.
When viewed under ultraviolet (UV) light, this large specimen glows a bright pinkish orange color.
Approx. 5" L x 4" H x 3.25" Deep
