This lustrous specimen of geometric wonder is a large pyrite crystal from Navajun, Spain. Pyrite cubes of this size are unusual from other locations. Believe it or not, this specimen of pyrite has not been carved or polished! The Pyrite crystals actually form naturally in a cubic shape! The incredible shape comes as a result of the Pyrite's chemistry. On an atomic level, the structure forms as a cube and continues to exhibit this shape as it grows. The gray marl (clay and lime) rock matrix has been chipped away to display the perfectly formed cubes of pyrite. The cube itself is completely natural!
Approx. 3.25" W x 2" H x 2" Deep
