Large Zebra and Golden Calcite Bowl
This colorful golden yellow and zebra Calcite bowl is the perfect geologic decor to brighten any space. The bands of calcite and aragonite crystals form alternating layers of white, black (sometimes referred to as "zebra"), and golden yellow hues.
These color changes are a result of layered deposition in which different impurities resulted in varied colorations over time. The bowl has been carved into an oval or boat-like shape and lightly polished. A flat-cut base allows the dish to sit perfectly on a shelf, counter or coffee table.
